Description
British drama based on the novel by John Braine, set in 1960s Yorkshire. Reserved school teacher Vincent Dungarvan (Jason Merrells) battles against his overbearing mother’s demands that he enters the priesthood. Isolated and lonely, when Vincent begins an illicit affair with a Protestant librarian these repressed emotions come to the fore in a devastating conclusion.
